5 Ways to Revitalize Your Closet

One of the most crucial spaces for storage and organization in any particular home is the closet. It’s an important area and having one that feels less than optimal can be downright annoying when attempting to find a space for your clothes and other personal items. Space, shape, and ease of access are all important factors to consider. Linea Studio can help to modify them all to your personal preference with a custom closet. With that being said, there are several ways to easily revitalize your closet space, such as:

1. Having a Plan

The first step to any home renovation or “sprucing up”  project is to know what you want and how to get it. Before embarking on your journey to the closet of your dreams, ask yourself some of the following questions:

  • Do I want more space?
  • What do I want to store in my closet? (It’s good for more than just clothes).
  • How many things do I have?
  • What kind of lighting do I want?

2. Giving it a Fresh Coat of Paint

One of the easiest ways to bring new life into any room is to give it a fresh coat of paint. Bringing a smack of brighter colors can be just what your closet needs to feel spacious and refreshing. Personally, we would recommend having your paint match your wardrobe or style theme in a way that is reflective of you.

3. Improved Storage

Finding creative ways to increase your space is a cornerstone of sprucing up any room. It can majorly open a room up, allow you to be organized/find things easily, and make the room more accessible for cleaning. Shelves, shoe caddies, and multi-shirt hangers can all help to make the most out of your storage space.

4. Prune Your Collections

Despite our best intentions, it’s not uncommon to simply let things pile up. Shirts, shoes, and various other clothing items become worn or go out of fashion, and before you know it there’s a bunch of things lying around that you’re not wearing. At this point, it would be beneficial to both your mental health and closet space to let go of some of your collection by selling and donating various items. If you so desire, you can utilize the Marie Kondo or “KonMari” method to guide your journey.

5. Make The Most Out of Your Space

Efficiently using your space with various tools and techniques can complement any of the above suggestions. While there is a myriad of suggestions we could list here, some simple ones you can incorporate into your closet include:

  • Installing hooks
  • Placing certain items into bins
  • Putting more than one item on a particular hanger (you can typically put two pants on a hanger)
